5 Minutes with Christian Zorweg

Kennedy recently caught up with Zorweg to talk all things luxury security, future projects and the upcoming Watches & Wonders trade show.   

What was your first introduction to the luxury security space? 

It came gradually after being the leading brand for watch winders. Our clients repeatedly asked for higher security, and this lead to the release of BUBEN&ZORWEG’s first safe with an integrated watch winder in 2007. 

What sets BUBEN&ZORWEG’s safes and cases apart from all others? 

It’s a combination on things — we offer the best watch winder technology within a German high security safe, crafted with the finest German craftsmanship. When it all comes together, our clients are investing in piece of pure luxury.

If someone were to invest in their very first watch safe, which model should they look to?

I only care about two things when it comes to a BUBEN&ZORWEG masterpiece: It’s uniqueness and its level of craftsmanship and quality. In saying that, it is true that our partnerships led to many great, new ideas and brought everyone involved a lot of joy, so we will definitely continue to collaborate with likeminded brands.
